Grand Finale

In a few moments,my phone's inbox will be full of New Year's Day wishes.Yes,2009 is finally in it's twilight stages...Millions of people around the world are lending their bittersweet voices for the final countdown till the final curtains are drawn for the year....and i'm stuck at home feeling all nostalgic about it.Well not exactly stuck, though i had a New Year's Eve Mass at my church but i chose instead to stay at home and well, funny thing is,i rather stay at home and blog all about it...2009 is the year where i (think) i made friends which would last forever.People started to make us ambassadors of the new 1 Malaysia slogan because our (gang) consist of Malays,Indians and Chinese's.We didn't really realise it until that faithful day where teacher decided to fish her camera out and took a photo of us all.I really thank god for throwing me into that previously thought god-forsaken class with the Bitch-est Accounts teacher, the fastest teacher to leave school as our form teacher, and the Morale teacher who always made us repeat the same nilai's over and over again.I remember making a wish at an altair back in Ipoh earlier in the year, though i admit i was a wee-bit too greedy,i boldly ask the goddess of mercy 3 wishes. The first being academically sustainable, the second being taller and the last being to find true love...The goddess of mercy must be feeling really merciful that time cos' she decided to grant me all 3 wishes (indirectly).I did grow albeit no more than 3cm,but grow i did.Besides that,my results were really sustainable though my mum suffered high blood pressure for sometime. And the last wish turned out complicated, though i finally know that it's best just to stay Uno for now..

All in all,i can't merely describe the year in time for New Year's day,so here's wishing all the readers of my not-so-perfect blog a very Happy New Year, and here's also hoping all your dreams and resolutions for the up can coming year of 2010 will come true.

Au revoir 2009,Hola 2010!!

Reunited

The feeling of accomplishing something that seemed previously impossible is something to savor. No,it's not about the camp (though i would have loved to use that phrase for it).The phrase is just merely the tip of the iceberg to dub the things that occurred over the last few days,it's like i'm telling a story where dreams and the impossible come true.Rewind time back to a month ago where i jokingly proposed that we had a reunion for my primary class 5/6i before school starts, never in my wildest dream have i imagined it would turn out to become a reality.Yes,it actually happened, and it happened yesterday...After all the reunion i was unable to attend and after all the reunion i had miss, the streak finally ended yesterday. In what seemed like a blink of an eye,it took me four years to end that no-show streak, and what better way to end it than to be the co-host of the reunion...

The reunion was also planned accordingly to Nic Ooi's birthday. It "supposedly" began at 5.30pm where they gathered at Cineleisure damansara for the 6.15 show of Sherlock Holmes. The supposedly word was deliberately fitted in because i didn't really know what happened about three quarters of the reunion cos' i had to miss it due to camp.I went into panic mode just before the crucial last two matches that would conclude the camp when i saw 3 miss calls and SMSes on my phone. But it would later turned out to be a false alarm. If there's one thing i learned about being a co-host,it's that it's all about being Calm....Reached home after the camp, took a much needed bath and was on my way to Curve.Since they were still watching the show when i was there,i decided to dropped by the most unexpected place of all, albeit it's the last place you'll find me in....i was at,drumrolls*...........BORDERS!! Well, its not That hard to guess but it Was near The Street and most importantly there were chairs in it to sit and/or sleep on.Took an Archie's comic and stared reading. The chair must've been really comfortable or the book was really very boring cos' i nearly dozed off...lucky for them, there was the phone call...Proceeded to Italianese and yeah, the first thing i ordered was an Espresso....and it came in DROPS.The cup was sooo bloody small and it cost me 5.80.Lucky for us,Callie decided to order big portions and share. It wasn't too heavy on the stomach, but was certainly light on the wallet. It was weird that night, cos' though i was really tired,i still managed to cough up more saliva than that cup of Espresso i had.I was like the P R or somethin that night.Everyone seemed to have grown matured and a little taller thus leaving me behind in the so called Great Age of Growing.Everything turn out to be as planned Excluding the cake part.It took them YEARS to take the cake out of the fridge and serve it up,so a little push was required.Nic went and asked for the "bill" and after 10 minutes, the cake was still no where to be found. Then it was my turn to ask for the "bill".When i was there, they were so called "repairing" the cake and said the cake was ready in 3 minutes.I asked for the Birthday song to be played but sadly the worker in charge had already left...So the cake finally arrived and we eventually sang.Nic Ooi then made her wish and blew the eight (why eight?) candles out. Each of us took one slice, cos' one slice was more than enough. So there goes my 37 bucks......Before the Real bill arrived,we all took turns guessing how much it would be and yeah,no surprises Leslie came closest to it.The bill was around 200,i sarcastically said 300 so that the real amount wouldn't be that hard to swallow. So yeah, was happy enough to shell out 25 bucks for it....After the dinner,Leslie and Jack walk they're separate ways while the rest of us walked to Ikea where the birthday girl's brother would fetch all the goats back to their stables. And there's also where everyone finally parted ways that night....

The reunion Can be counted as a success.Fyi my way of defining success is being better than the worst case scenario. This reunion wouldn't be a reunion if it weren't for all the people who attended it.Though most of them won't ever-never get the chance to see this post,Here's me giving my sincerest thanks to Thomas,Eugene,Jack,Callie, the 2 Nicole's and Leslie for attending the Reunion.Special thanks goes to _ _ _ _ _ _ ,you know who you are (just realised besides Jack, all of the other names have six letters).Anyways, thank you for baby sitting them for most of the time,And for the cake,And for the bookings,And for the show,And for the Ball (Inhale*).And even though it might sound corny, this Reunion wouldn't even be a reality if it weren't for you. Can't believe i just wrote that so yeah, cherish it.I wouldn't have planned it any other better way.....

Sam the brave..

Ahhhhh,i owe it to myself to blog about at least one destination during the recent "road trip" i went before i go off for football camp on the 28th.And no surprises i've chosen the easiest one to blog about which is the one-day drop-by stay in Ipoh.Though it may only be one day,it may very well turn out to be one of the best trips back to my hometown. The thought of going back to Ipoh means Hot weather, nice food and don't forget drumrolls*....... BORING.Things in Ipoh seems to be looking good since the arrival of Sam.Sam's only 6 months old but it's her presence, playfulness and most importantly "shouting" which gives the house a bit of ambiance when the house is dying for one.Other than Sam,everything in Ipoh looks predictably set to be it's old boring self again and that's when reality came and whack some unpredictability back into my senses......

It all began when mum grinned me out of bed to go out for evening tea.It was 4pm in the afternoon and i was half awake so i ignored her with all my might and just tried to continue sleeping. Then there was this ruckus going on downstairs that made sure i won't get back to sleep. So i dragged my semi-conscious self downstairs to see what was going on and when i was nearing the end of the stairs, everyone was seen panicking around like cockroaches..... that's when my cousin told me she'd already dialed 999.At first i thought it was a joke and why call them? It'll later turn out to be very necessary.

This was what happened....(forgive the hairdo and blur-ness )

meet sam....supposedly "shouted" at it and tried to bite it bt when she saw what it WAS, she was so scared till she climbed the stairs behind her.We previously thought she couldn't,up till now....

Home..

Once you've traveled 10 hours a day and finally ending the journey at the place u reside, you'll truly understand there's no better place on earth to be than at home...Yes,i'm finally well and truly back from my so called road trip. It's 1.22 am and i'm half drunk.Another 365 days till next Christmas arrives..since i'm only 1 hour and 22 minutes after Christmas, here's wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas!!

rather than have to wait for another 365 days....

Holiday...

Ahh...was supposed to see some big smurfs in action today but had to settle for frogs instead....Avatar JUST bloody sold out when it was my turn,so had to no other options but to watch Princess and the Frog given the time we had...And i have to say, with all the kids screaming and laughing in the cinema,it actually WAS a great movie to watch!!Oh,did i mention i was sitting at the FRONT ROW!!My neck is killing me right now....Am going to Ipoh today, will be staying there overnight then it's VIVA LA PANGKOR!!!After Pangkor then it's on to PENANG!!!I can't believe Jon will be there at the exact date, what are the odds...So to all my readers (if i have any),i'll be taking leave from the 20th to Christmas day.Till then,Au Revouir.

Blue people?

I've just had three "people" telling me they're watchin the same movie today. These "people"are my friends (and one of them is watching it right now as i write).I turned 3-1 down cos i'm watching it in 3D TOMMOROW AT KLCC!!! (hopefully can get tickets larr).Upon staring at the picture above, the obvious movie i'm talking about is James Cameron's Computer Generated Images (CGI) blockbuster AVATAR...Critics say its the year's best movie and i would try hard not to be convinced after watching the trailer which spans up to three and half minutes. It certainly looks good for Cameron after waiting 10 long years to get the budget he needed to create the "true" surroundings for his lush green planet which Cameron names it Pandora.Cameron's rap sheet as we know is of the highest regards.Who could forget the not-so-tiny ship which sank in the north pole because of an ice cube.He directed a movie based on the biggest and so-called safest ship during it's time named Titanic.Titanic as it would later be known, will be the highest grossing movie of all time.He also directed the "titanic" series called Aliens and how can one forget Lieutenant Ripley holding guns thrice the size of her body mass shooting aliens and saving all but herself.Ripley-played by Sigourney Weaver, will once again collaborate with Cameron to star as a scientist in the movie and she most certainly won't be carrying guns thrice the size in the movie this time (or will she)? The show (for me) depends too much on CGI and compared to Titanic,it certainly looks like a far cry.My intuition tells me that Avatar will most likely be unable to repeat that remarkable feat that is Titanic, but Avatar certainly looks set to raise the bar and set the standard for future CGI movies and this is the perfect stage for James Cameron to raise that bar to however high he wants....

Yum* Yum*

Looking at it just makes me wanna lick my 21.5 inch wide screen LCD monitor,literally...Who serves such BIG meatballs with Jam?The deadly combination of it will make you feel like heaven's actually in Sweden....And where can one find such Lick Plating meatballs??I bet you know the answer....Can't wait for dinner!!!

till then,i'll be content to lick my 21.5 inch LCD monitor...

Arsenal Arsenal Arsenal!!!

FOOTBALL TONIGHT AT 12!!!It's the ALL Red Derby affair between Arsenal and Liverpool on the grounds which arguably consist the most passionate supporters the League has to offer.Even before the players walk onto the pitch,Every single Liverpool fan in the stadium will be on their feet singing their hearts out to the song infamously titled YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE.The Roar and Cheers of the Liverpool fans indefinitely tells you that you are indeed at ANFIELD.Words can't merely describe it,so just turn to channel 812 (ESPN) at 11.50pm SHARP and u'll get what i mean ;). All eyes on four players tonight, two respectively from each team.Captain marvel-Steven Gerrad and Europe's most lethal striker Fernando Torres are the ones to watch for Liverpool while Theo Walcott and my favorite player Andrei Arshavin (cos' he's 5 foot 4 and looks just like a little boy from Russia) will be the ones to watch for Arsenal. This match looks set to be a cracker!!(just for you people out there who don't watch football the scoreline last time these two sides met was 4-4 and all four goals from Arsenal came from LITTLE BOY!!!),so get set to see goals flying in from all angles!!!!

I hear stars and money dropping...

Hah,guess i'll be working this school holidays after all...Which is Great =).Mom had always nagged me since the start of the holidays by saying "You've been nothing but spending money this holidays, why can't you find a job like the holidays before?"Well HAHA MOMITO,EAT YOUR WORDS cos' i've found myself a job (thanks to tut-tut*).And i just bloody choked on my saliva(how is that even possible?).And to the kind and thoughtful people who wishes to see me rot on the job, they can simply go to some sort of factory that produces food in China (or Timbuktu). It starts at bloody 9 in the morning so i have to be at Tut-tut's house by 8.45 and it ends at 5.30 and what's worse,i'm starting work TOMORROW!!!
Btw,someone just posted somethin on facebook saying they'll be a Meteor Shower tonight so get ready your wishes people!!

And to my friend in the night reading this (yes,i read your mind),our (routine) has to stop till the 18th,till then, break more toys and swipe more cards.Cheers =)
sorry mom..

Fireflies

Fireflies...They're so beautiful in the night. When they're aplenty, they resemble the many stars there are.Hence, reminding us of how small we are compared to the universe let alone comparing with a single individual on earth. In other words, fireflies belittles me...Lucky for me i won't be as dumb as to be belittling myself on this post,i've got no interest in blogging about invertebrates. This post is for the people who Love (and also Hate) the song called Fireflies by Owl City. The band Owl City (weird) is an indie artist that recently got a breakthrough thanks to that song and the radio has since been playing it like once every 10 MINUTES!!The lyrics aren't exactly meaningful (except for one verse) but it's the catchy tune and beat tht's captivated most fans of the song.To the people that hate the song, all i can say is WHY?Besides pondering the fact that you have no sense of taste in music, the only answer i can think of "rationally" is that different people has different perspectives of the song. But seriously, take a few listens to it and i'll bet you'll be believing Planet Earth Turns Slowly~

Just when I was abt to hit the Publish Post button on Monday,my bloody modem died….Luckily I had the mood to do it all again today.Anyways,i didn't get Hujan's and Dina's picture cos' my finger slipped while i was deleting my photos and I ended up deleting EVERYTHING...this is what's left of it.But then again,if i hadn't deleted them photos,i wouldn't be able to record all those cool videos =).
