Sports Day part 1

When i got the last-gasp call up to substitute a fellow house-mate of mine for the 4x400 meters event, cold sweat went down my spine as i wasnt prepared for it and hell i run the 100m and 200m Not 400m!!Oh,did i mention the guy i'm replacing won athlete of the year last year?So yeah,i could imagine myself getting a heart attack when the gun goes off...Minutes before the race, the contestants gathered near the starting grid and were busy torturing their legs with stretches and warm-ups.The atmosphere there was hostile-like.We were like gladiators pitted together to see who's the last man standing. And just when tensions started to boil over, the loudspeaker saved the day,it went.........Teng....Teng Teng....Wooooahh~... ITS JUSTIN BIEBER!!!!Everyone looked up and gave each other the broadest smile. It chilled everything up.And everyone know its a crime not to sing along to BABY BABY BABY OHHH~So yeah,we momentarily forgot we were suppose to kill each other for a sec there. Now who says Justin Bieber's songs are bad =)

It's finally Go time.Hot.Confidence sky high.Crazy screaming people.Perfect.All that's missing is the sound of that cheap, old, plastic pistol. And so it begins.......

KE GARISAN..........SEDIA.....................BANG!

And so,the rest as they say is history......

Down but Not out

These past few days has taught me on how football can be a very cruel game.I'll go right into it and say that, (*Holds breath*) (*Digs deep*) we lost at the quarter-final at regionals...Hard to take? Not quite, considering the fact that they scored the one and only goal of the match in the last minute of the 2nd half of Extra time and watching them celebrate on the pitch like they actually won the cup before your very eyes, now that ladies and gentleman is hard to take.We actually knew it would be tough when we were paired up against the defending champions, but nothing prepared us quite like this.It was total heartbreak. At the final whistle, their coach clearly relieved, shake every hand of ours and told us that the difference between them and us that day was luck...The least the school could do for us as consolation was renting a proper bus which actually HAD AIR-CON to take us back to school!!We all jumped around a bit and fiddled with the reclining chairs. But the fun of it was soon cast away, and the enthusiasm eventually died down. For once, there wasn't a squeal of Justin Bieber saying Baby 3 consecutive times in there. The bus was silent. After all that hype about it,it was dead silient.Cos' deep down,we knew we shouldn't be on that bus,not at that particular time.We all didn't want to go home.We all wanted to keep playing.Every person on that bus (excluding the driver) had dejection labelled all over their faces. And the most saddening part of all?Life goes on as usual the next day,you gulp at every sight of a person so filled with hope and desire to question how 'well' we did at regionals, and so you have to painstakingly kill that joy-filled enthusiasm with just one sentence long of disappointment and they probably wont give a damn about you having sunburn so bad that your tuition teacher thinks you're some kinda lobster. And what's worse,Glee just aired one of it's saddest episode just now and they had to (i repeat) HAD TO,sing Smile right at the end.

Okayy,i admit i'm feeling a bit slighted,i'll just go do what i love doing most now......

Last Hurrah

Football regionals' tomorrow. We're pitted against La Salle and Taman Sea in the group stages.I can already feel the heat of the sun on my skin, the salty taste of sweat on my tongue and overworking joints that i call limbs. The La Salle match will definitely be tough cos' majority of the team will be filled with Indians. The people there run like robots which feeds on solar power, and so i woke up at blardy eight this morning and jogged all the way to Ikea just so i can sleep well tonight. And what about Taman Sea you ask?All i can say is that we stand a better chance against them then La Salle.Though i will never write a team off (even it Is Taman Sea).

This is it then.Final year in the regionals. The showpiece event that many have been craving for. Some will be looking to this for a breakthrough in their footballing career. Some come just to make the numbers. And then there are some who come just to grab attention from that hot medical staff and are willing to injure themselves just to get treatment from them...definitely not me =).I for one will just give it my very all and try to savor and enjoy the match for one very last time...

Regionals....?

BRING IT!
