I love this game...

I'm battled, bruised, tired and i'm actually happy about it.Exactly 30 hours before,we were training in preparation for today's game when i jokingly pop-ed it to my teammates, "Guess the scoreline tomorrow".They all had grin smirk all over their faces and they began firing with ridiculous answers. And by the way,our opponent was the Subang Community Club.Everyone (including me) gave the scoreline in favor of them winning it.To the extend of somewhat discouraging was that some even said we wouldn't even score. That however, will ultimately change because that was when Matrix FC didn't have the caliber enough to match the players we currently have.

The rain finally stopped just as we were onto the puddled field.I was all pumped up for this cos i felt that i had a point to prove to all the doubters who said we were going to get thrashed badly today. The sun was up,the wind was blowing hard and the stage was set,all that's left was the referee's blow of the whistle to start the match.Time slowed down during these few little seconds, and i began to ask myself What IF's.And when the referee had set the countdown timer on his watch to 45 minutes, the sharp and distinctive sound of the whistle then broke the silence and was replaced with loud cheers of the crowd.

We were always vulnerable in the early stages cos' after all,we were the away team. And that was proven when we conceded 2 goals in less than 30 minutes played. We started doubting ourselves then, heads were down and it looked all too convincing that we were indeed going to get thrash after all.I for once, defied it and began to work even harder.I chased and fought for every ball and finally...at long last,i was rewarded.Joey engineered a beautiful pass from the center and i latched onto it,wriggled passed a defender and before you could say SCORE,i placed a shot right at the top corner of the goal.Players and supporters then began roaring like lions. And it later came into mind that i had scored....IT WAS TOTAL ECSTASY!!The game plan changed drastically after my goal, heads were then lifted and we began to play as though we were champions. It was 2-1 and the game was well and truly on...Just minutes after that goal,Joey dribbled his way into the box and was then tackled by the opposition. The referee blew his whistle and it was a......PENALTY!!!!Bryan then stepped up and to take the penalty kick. And with a calm and composed look,he slotted home the 2nd goal for us.That made the scoreline tied at 2-2 and that also ensured us that we're going back to a very happy coach at the half-time...

The second half then began with with a BANG,with the opposition raining endless attacks on us.I have to say Thomas did i very fine job marshalling the defence in the game. And after waves and waves of attack, our defense finally broke and they scored. The score was then 3-2.We all figured that after coming back from 2 goals down,we are virtually capable of doing it all over again. We pushed on and on when Kevin finally got the ball at the edge of the box and passed it to me before i rolled it down to bryan on the left wing.He then unleashed a shot to the bottom corner of the goal.IT WAS 3-3!!!And after that goal, both sides went for broke. It was end to end stuff from then on and my best chance of the match came when a corner was cleared out to me.In what seemed like a 1500 meter Sprint,i ran the full length of the field out-sprinting 2 defenders until the goalkeeper is all that was left standing between me and glory. And just as i was about to make that decisive shot,i felt a bolting pain on my leg from behind.....The defender just made it to me in time and took me out while he was at it.It was a clear foul but the referee decided it was just a corner. The pain was felt even until now...But there was a fresh wound moments later, and the pain was unbearable.Young Adam lost the ball on the wings and they took full advantage of it and scored their 4th and final goal of the match. The match ended 4-3 with them winning the match.

After shaking hands with the opposition and gracefully accepting defeat,Coach Kelvin then started briefing us and said "Football is 90 minutes,we have to close the game better next time".And he then made us feel all emotional and stuff when he said:"Even though we lost today,in My eyes....You are all winners".For Coach Kelvin to say something like that...it's like even rare-er than seeing octo-plets!!He then continued "You all played your best today and i'm so very proud of you guys.....ICE CREAM's ON ME!!!!He then added, "Before you all go get ice-cream,i want to announce that the man of the match is none other than............................IAN!!Claps then ringed all around and i can't help but feel all blushy at my 30 seconds of fame. And if i had the guts to say it then,i would have corrected Coach and said......

"It's not MAN of the match, but MEN of the match. The whole team played brilliantly, whole heartedly, spectacularly, superbly, sublimely, determined and most of all......

Why i love them...

Okay,so you're probably wondering "what's with the people in the costumes??" Here's giving you a better picture...

Do these guys look familiar to you?Well that's because it's actually Them (Arsenal players) dressed up as those furry little animals.I owe it to myself to write this post because it's not everyday you get to see professional football stars dressing up in some funny costume going around town getting donations for a hospital. How often do you even see a club doing charity, let alone allowing their players to dress up in such hideous outfits?I happened to know about this when i stumbled upon a picture in The Star's football pullout and found it rather amusing and decided to find the picture on the internet. The story behind these pictures is but hidden away from the truth which i later found out to be really touching, albeit you would have never guessed it from the first few pictures that they are actually Arsenal players. It made me felt as though they are just ordinary humans after all.The Arsenal players visited the Great Ormand Street Hosptial and decided to donate a day's salary (which is tens of thousands of pounds mind you) and you could tell from the pictures that apart from the children, they too enjoyed it very much.Such as the busy schedule of a professional football player,it's really humane of them that they can still manage to give back to the little children in the hospital which i'm sure watches them play everyday on tv,wanting to be like them, looking up to them, and treating them like heroes.

Come tomorrow, the Big-Derby clash with their fiercest rivals-Manchester United will no doubt be a harder task than to walk around town collecting charity. But at least the Arsenal players know that they will have the extra cheer from the little children at the Great Ormand Street Hosptial which i'm very sure will fully support those furry little mascots like they once supported them before.

i can't help but smile in awe after seeing the pics and video of the charity. For the video, log on to

Real safe...

There are times where i really Respect mom.We ate lunch at Dataran Sunway this morning and we were on our way home.It was just me,mum and the radio turned on full blast.Knowing my mom's a reckless, impatient, self esteemed and giving-you-the-look kinda driver, she took an illegal U-turn which was very much faster than the legal one down the road.Right after stabilizing the car after a 180 degree turn....BAM*,there were Men In White (traffic police) waiting for us right after that turn.Clearly witnessing the offence we committed, they signaled for us to stop by the roadside. One of them then slowly graced his way to our car under the unforgiving hot sun yet managing to present us with a very malicious smile. As my mom clicked the button and the car window came sliding down, the curtain to one of the best convo ever heard LIVE was gradually risen....

miw: Selamat petang kak
mom: .....
miw: tau tak kak telah u-turn di junction no entry?
mom: ya ah?
miw: saya akan bagi awak saman kak, saman itu mahal tau.
mom: berapa?
miw: RM 300
mom: waa,sangat mahal ah
miw: you boleh bayar tak?
mom: I've got no choice have i?I'm in fault
miw: you mampu bayar RM300 tak?
mom: just give me the summon
miw: you MAU bayar RM300??
mom: ok...ok,tell me how much you want?
miw: Kak boleh bagi berapa?Kak kerja apa?
mom: I work in the Media
miw: Media!?masuk mana punya?
mom: ALL.Newspapers,commercials,cinema,radio...
miw: Hah,Macam ini ah....
mom: just to let you know,i'm a very "Law Abiding" citizen
miw : kak cakap dalam english saya tak faham larh..(LAW??Dia lawyer ke?)
mom: (turns head towards me) how do you say Law Abiding citizen in Malay?
miw: Aiya macam ini la,kak boleh jalan lar, lain kali jangan buat tau...
mom: (Smiling cheek to cheek as if saying "i thought you'll see it my way")

I was giggling like crazy throughout the whole ordeal cos' the expression on the policeman's face was so darn funny. On the other hand, this tells us a very sad story of our country.Policemen who Corrupts and dare not speak of the word.Forcing people to pay corrupted money even without saying the "R" word are no less than cowards. And these cowards are So Called protecting us from the bad?Someone once told me that policemen in New Zealand are all buffed up and uncorrupted unlike here. The one that attended to us was clearly overweight. His belt looked like it could fly right off any moment.

Here's a very good example of our very own traffic police "Hard at work".....

Would ya look at those "ABS"....

2 weeks.14 days.Gone.Snap* Just like that...School's been erm....how should i put it."Entertaining"???More like entertaining - the fun and infinite ^ to teenage abuse.Homework + teachers whose sound can't even change a Hertz of a paper and co-curriculum activities are enough to actually put a guy bed-ridden,all that and there's even time to add tuitions into the equation.I'm a boy who loves and needs his afternoon naps but you know times are bad when you're lying on your bed closing your eyes while you're actually counting down to when the next brainwash session starts.Tuition....saying it gives me goosebumps.I can seriously be one with the word.I could seriously go bonkers with the amount of tuitions i have now.House practice is a must now since I've been disdainfully picked as an AJK.Football training's a no-brainer and as if i'm real free or something,i joined the Athletes.People often wondered why haven't i join the 100m dash before since i blatantly have short legs and run a little faster than most people do.And since it's my senior year i thought, why not?

We all know what Form 5 ultimately comes down to....(yes,WE know!!).But to me,it's just another hurdle in life which we have to overcome and the hurdle doesn't grow any smaller from then on btw.I try to look at it from a different perspective.I just imagine it as the need to push myself. The road looks certain to be hard, vigorous and filled with temptations, but we all know that the grass' greener on the other side, and who knows, there may be a pot of gold lying in wait there. So here's lending 4 very powerful words from a certain someone in the US.....

IT's TIME FOR CHANGE!!

As if changing sleeping habits weren't hard enough...

Primed Memoirs

It's been almost five years before i attended my first reunion and now i'm having them once every 2 weeks, guess it's the reunion frenzy acting along.Don't worry, too much of a good thing's a bad thing DOES NOT apply here. This reunion however was a bit special,it was the reunion of our primary six form teacher. She's basically the best teacher a student could ask for during my days. She's also got my award for best looking teacher ever btw (NOT EXAGGERATING IT).Besides teacher, there were more people from class 5/6i who attended today, majority of them got hit pretty badly by puberty.
Here's what puberty can do to your fellow friends...

Our teacher,Miss Xiong-Still looks and talks soo elegantly but still reminds me how hard she can hit a guy with a rotan..
Stephanie-Quiet but Oh-so charming when she laughs (and yes she's tall)
Bryan-Undependable when in 2 on 1 situations
Poh Yee-Very helpful in serving and pouring things, teacher's pet...
Dynamic Duo-Has the almighty power of waking people up and convincing them to attend something
Hui ting-The host of the event, don't blame her for not talking too much..
Michelle-Our statue of the day.I'm very sure her stone-like lips actually moved at some point...
Jodee-The girl who can't stop shooting with unlimited supply of sarcastic words.Squared off with her a few times and got killed.
Tan Somethin Somethin (?)-She's the first i've had difficulties remembering. Her name that is. Sorry....

(Dont worry,It's cake,not teeth)

(Edited by Jodee)

I've never regretted one moment of my life in there, even if it meant caning every monday by our science teacher,it was still ultimately worth it.No matter how much we may change in the future one thing's for certain, our origins will forever scar our lives. For better or for worst,we'll still be welcome with opened arms to the not-so-perfect family of Class....

Wonder what happened to that "going to Curve yumcha thing".And sorry for calling you auntie teacher...

Picture me...

It's raining today
The blinds are shut
It's always the same
I tried all the games that they play
But they made me insane
Life on TV
It's random
It means nothing to me
I'm writing down
What I cannot see
Wanna wake up in a dream

They're telling me
It's beautiful
I believe them
But will I ever know
The world behind my wall

The sun will shine
Like never before
One day I will be
Ready to go
See the world behind my wall

Wrapping it up....

I kick started the year in dramatic fashion.By celebrating it beside the road....I must have lost it for a split second when i decided to call my Oh-so-good friend to (legally) fetch me down to Curve at 11.30pm and try to catch the countdown there.Sadly,he's form of transportation wasn't a private jet,but a very patriotic Myvi .The roads were all clogged up going there and at one point,we even considered mounting the curb. The bad news was,we didn't make it.The good news was,we saw the fireworks display while being serenaded by the moonlight transmitting from a very big, round and beautiful moon.Oh! and at the same time, being hon-ed by a couple of very civilized people...
