Blessings in Disguise

There are so many things in my mind i would love to convert my keyboard on.But on top of that giant pile of things lies the world's biggest joke.....i was so called 'SUSPECTED' of contracting dengue.I mean COME ON....ME?Getting gravely ill just because some puny little black/white insect by the name of Mo-skill-to sucked my blood?Would love to see that happen actually (cos then we would have to tell Robert the bad news;that we've got a better sucker in the house xp) but sadly,Robert still gets to keep his job =) Anyways,it took the doctors 4 days and 3 nights to clarify the word 'Suspected'.Turns out,it was just a case of high-fever.And you wonder why doctors earn so much...xp

I will always remember the very first time i was admitted to the hospital (excluding the time when i dropped out from you-know-where).I remember it like it was yesterday.Went to the same hospital as this one.The reason?I was Sooo obssesed with the new Playstation mom just got me that i played 15 hours non-stop.It took less than a week before i finally felt ill and i had to be admitted to the hospital. My head was spinning no doubt caused by all those hours spent in front of that 'idiot box'.If i paid close attention,i swear i could see kaleidoscopic colours surrounding me.And because of that,i puke-ed once every 15 minutes-tops.And so,being Miss Squeaky-clean,my mom came up with the ingenious idea of making me hold an ice-cream box wherever i go so that i dont get the boo boos everywhere. So whenever i felt like puking,i would shout ICE-CREAM!!

Ahem*where were we again......Oh!the hospital i went to was the Sunway Medical Centre.Apart from equipping the rooms with the new Super-Flat screen Samsung TVs + Astro, things havent really change that much since my last visit.Though they have more rooms now....The people there are really nice. (Re-run *) The Nurses there are really nice.I always think that they're angels that somehow got stranded here while touring Earth, and to get back to heaven, they have to earn enough 'good' points for them to earn a ticket back. You can't fault me using my imagination cos' every time they stick a needle up my arm, they'll say they're sorry cos it might just hurt...a bit. When u press that little red button for assistance, they would come flying in your room with a smile so angelic that u sometimes forget what u needed them for.And when you cant sleep at night even after shows like Die hard ,The Proposal and Bangkok Dangerous, they'll come creeping up your bedside with their harps and lullaby you to sleep.

There is a pin-up wall just beside the counter of my ward that is especially dedicated to the Nurses there. And i'm proud to say i've finally squeezed my way past the many cards on that wall to proudly pin up the card i got from MPH that cost me a blardy 8 BUCKS!!I thought the cashier key-ed in the wrong price when the RM 8.00 flashed before me.Sighh, the price for not having creativity as an attribute.Oh and reading My Sister's Keeper in the hospital is like wearing 3-D glasses while reading a book.It makes you feel like you're actually in it.And if you dont understand those very long greek medical terms they use in the book like Lymphocyte(?) ,They're always people there u can ask cos' after all,You're in a Hospital! One of the 'Angels' borrowed the book for the night and i forgot to tell her i might be going back the next day if my platelets weren't naughty.Sure enough, she returned it the next morning with a note in it:

The morning shift 'Angels' told me that St.Mag here wanted to personally thank me for lending her the book but when she saw me sleeping while hugging that oversized pillow so tightly to my head due to my roomate's snoring, she couldn't help but leave me be.It's beginning to sound very hard not to believe angels exist here xp

If there was anything i learned through my 4 days 3 nights stay at the hospital,it is that Doctors have the worst jobs in the world. When a patient dies at the hands of a Doctor, people inevitably blame them, even if they've done their best trying to safe them. And no one likes seeing a Doctor cos' u have to be sick to see one.Dr.Wong conducted a final check-up before finally discharging me.And with a smile that shrouds all true emotions ,he said "I hope i wont have to see you again".Just as the door closed behind us,i just made it in time to have one last glance at the man's face. His smile, now replaced with frowned lips,as though telling himself---Another happy patient....

Which makes me wonder....IS HE GOD!??? =O

Flours

I hate birthdays,it reminds me how old i'm getting...Then there are some birthdays that just makes me wish i had one every day.I knew it was coming, but i didn't exactly know when. When Way Zhen suddenly took out his so called very big 'dinner' before the Spain-Germany match,i had to be dumb not to suspect something was up (who eats dinner at 2 in the morning?).And yup, figured it was the birthday cake. And yes it was.And no,i didnt wish for Spain to win the World cup.It was around 5 after the match and we were at the front of my house when the gang said they had a big surprise for me.And so,being the dumb dumb i am, i let them blindfold me with someone's stinky shirt.Under all that horrendous smell,it was baffling to think i was actually guessing what that surprise could be.Could it be a Spain Jersey?Could it be a pair of flip flops?Or could it even be a new pair of sneakers i so desperately need????When Dan finally said,'You can open your eyes now',it only hastened my imagination...Could it Possibly be tickets to go watch the final at South Africa???My eyes then slowly began opening in anticipation of my big surprise. But my eyes however, needed time to adjust itself cos' what was now in front of me wasn't a pair of sneakers, nor is it tickets to the final but it pretty much looked like a firing squad armed with flour ready to lay waste on me!!And there i was standing stupified and letting them hit me with what look like snowballs before managing to wrestle Mun hong onto the ground.Took his packet of flour and began returning fire.We were like kids running in the playground with their favorite toy on a Sunday evening.Only thing different is,the playground was the side of the road. The toy was a packet of flour. And the Sunday evening was actually Thursday early morning. When the chaos ended, the whole row of houses on my side of the house was filled with white flour in front if their gate.I dont blame the neighbors for wanting to evict us out now =)

Mom sent me to school that morning. She always had a keen eye for something that's misplaced or different and so, she spotted the luminous white powder in front of the house with ease and she asked 'Whaaat is that white colour thing in front of the house?".I,sitting next to her in the car,can only shake my head and smile widely while my mom kept wondering...
