What's the first thing a person looks at when a man goes for a job interview?It's not the tie.Neither is that particular masculine scent of posh fragrance he's using.But it's that simple little thing of a jig that keeps mankind safe from the harsh terrains of the naked floor....yes ladies and gentleman,it's the Shoe! (or so the old people say la).They say the condition and well-being of a shoe symbolizes a person like the palm lines on their hands.If that's true then i'll turn out prettyyy ugly =/ My current pair of sneakers is so ragged that my mom said the rubbish man wont take it.It's got holes in it that even a Monkey could fit in.Sooo,my mom made it a point to get me a pair of NEW sneakers during the Mega sale which started sometime back around early August and ends at appx 22 hours from now.The thing about me is,i'm a fickle minded,choosy,picky,cant make-up-your-mind kinda guy,Especially when i'm spoilt for choice.But i cant help it,it's in my genes.I'm lucky enough to be part of a very big family called Chinese.And the pros (and sometimes cons) of being a Chinese is that we'll try to,at whatever cost to....well,save cost!We'll fight for the best-est deals and even when the total bill arrives and all that's left is to whip out the ka-ching,The typical cina will dig into her (yes,it's mostly women) purse and lay out a calculator and start Tac-tac-tac-ing away.And how do you save cost and get the best-est deal out of something?Simple,one word....Patience.I believe that when something's meant for you,it'll somehow drag you to it? (does that even make sense)? And it was indeed Deal at first sight when i saw this shoe a few hours back.I knew it was a done deal when i first saw it but i had to choose a few other options just so i can tell myself i'm not a sucker for charity goods....Oh well,i still turned out to be quite the sucker =/
Regarding the Converse,5% of the money paid will be donated to people in need at Africa.The shoelaces were given to me by Nike almost a year ago and since then,it never left it's Lace up,Save Lives cover....till now!50% of it will go to Charity in Africa for the shoelaces.
Yes....it may be a wee-bit overpriced for a pair of sneakers and true,it may not look better than the other options i've picked out,but this pair of sneakers has that little something extra about it.Something you dont find everyday in your average pair of sneakers.It's a pair of sneakers that will walk,jump,run and stomp with purpose and with meaning.Cos' with every small step i take with this shoe,it's gonna be a big one for some lucky guy in Africa.And that ladies and gentleman,is how u get the best-est deal.....CINA style =)
